不驕不吝者吉 ❃ 周公是孔子心目中最偉大的聖人，它樹立了周朝的典章制度，鞏固了周朝基業。孔子反說雖有休的才美，如既驕且吝，其餘者即不足以，可見驕吝二字對人影響之大。所謂驕，可說是恃才、恃勢、恃財、恃位、恃齒、恃色而驕。所謂吝，可說是吝才不肯誨人，吝勢不肯教人，吝財不肯濟人，吝位不肯近人，吝齒不肯親人，吝色不肯娛人。
