姜者，姜維也，是蜀國智勇將。鄧者，鄧艾也，是魏國大將軍。姜維出兵伐魏，兩軍對峙祈山之前。起手姜維擺了孔明陣法，把魏軍士打退。次日姜鄧各自互擺起八卦陣，姜維軍進入鄧艾陣內，變成長蛇卷地陣。鄧艾不能破，被困在中間，在危急之際，幸虧司馬望趕來救出。
